University of Allahabad has released the official notification for PGAT-2026 (Post Graduate Admission Test) for the academic session 2026–27.

The admission process will cover nearly 50 postgraduate courses across 7,000+ seats, making it one of the largest PG admission drives in the region.

Online Registration Begins: May 5, 2026
Last Date to Apply: May 25, 2026

Applications will be accepted only through the official university portal.

🎓 Admission Structure

PG admissions will be conducted through two separate entrance exams:

PGAT-1

For traditional postgraduate courses
Mode: Online + Offline

PGAT-2

For non-traditional and specialized courses
Mode: Online only

💰 Application Fee

PGAT-1:
General/OBC/EWS – ₹1000
SC/ST/Divyang – ₹500

PGAT-2:
General/OBC/EWS – ₹1600
SC/ST/Divyang – ₹800

🎯 Reservation Policy

5% seats reserved for differently-abled candidates
2% seats reserved for sports quota candidates

Note: Sports and NCC quota not applicable in MBA, B.Ed, M.Ed, and MBA (RD) programmes
