👨⚖️ Eligibility Criteria
🔸 Educational Qualification
- Must have passed 10+2 with at least 60% marks in English, and
- Must possess a Law degree (LL.B.) from a recognized university, and
- Must be proficient in computer operations (Word processing and Spreadsheet)
🔸 Age Limit (As on 04.08.2025)
- For Direct Recruitment: 35 to 40 years
- For Ex-servicemen: Age relaxation = Length of military service + 3 years
- For Departmental Candidates: No age limit
🔸 Departmental Candidates Must Be:
- Employees of the High Court with ≥ 5 years in the grade of Senior Assistant or equivalent
- Employees of subordinate courts of Punjab, Haryana, and UT Chandigarh with ≥ 5 years in ‘B’ Grade Assistant
- Judgment Writers (Junior/Senior Grade) or Stenographers to District Judges with 5 years’ experience

📝 Selection Process
The total selection process is for 280 marks, and includes:
1️⃣ Written Examination (250 Marks)

⏳ Time Duration: 3 hours for each paper
🗣️ Medium: English (for Civil & Criminal Law)
✅ Qualifying Marks:
- English: 50%
- Civil & Criminal Law: 40% each
2️⃣ Computer Proficiency Test (Qualifying Only)
This consists of:
- Word Processing/Typing Test (10 Marks): Type 300 words in 10 minutes.
- Spreadsheet Test (10 Marks): Basic spreadsheet test (10 minutes).
Qualifying Criteria: Minimum 40% in each test
📌 Marks in CPT are not added to final merit.
3️⃣ Viva-Voce (30 Marks)
- Only those who clear the CPT will be shortlisted for viva.
- Shortlisting will be done 3 times the number of vacancies, category-wise
- Must score 35% in Viva-Voce
🏁 Final Selection
- Final merit will be prepared on the basis of:
- Written Exam (250 Marks) + Viva-Voce (30 Marks)
- Candidate must obtain at least 50% in aggregate to be considered qualified.
⚖️ Preliminary Exam (If Conducted)
- May be held depending on the number of applications
- Format: Objective-type questions (MCQs)
- Covers core law subjects, current affairs, reasoning, aptitude
- Only screening test – marks not counted in final merit

- Printed application form
- Proof of qualification (10+2 & LL.B.)
- Proof of age (DOB certificate)
- Reservation certificate (if applicable)
- Non-creamy layer affidavit (for BC category)
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from department (for government employees)
- Discharge book (for Ex-servicemen)
