BHU UG Admission 2025: Registration Likely to Begin on July 14, 15 Days Window for CUET UG Candidates
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) to start UG admission registration from July 14, 2025. Candidates who cleared CUET UG will get 15 days to register. Seat allotment from July 31. Know about mid-entry registration, cutoff release, and mop-up round.
BHU UG Admission 2025: Registration Expected from July 14
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is all set to begin the undergraduate (UG) admission registration process for the academic session 2025-26 from July 14. As per the admission cell, candidates will be provided a 15-day window to complete the registration process through the official BHU Admission Portal.
Preparations for data upload, category-wise classification, and technical setup have been finalized. The first round of seat allotment is expected to begin around July 31, 2025.
NTA Sends CUET UG Qualified Candidates' List to BHU
This year, the CUET UG 2025 examination was conducted by NTA in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC). After the announcement of CUET UG results, NTA has shared the list of eligible candidates with BHU.
Soon after receiving the data, BHU's admission committee initiated technical preparations to activate the UG admission portal.
Documents Upload and Fee Payment During Registration
The UG admission portal is expected to go live on July 14, and students will be required to:
- Fill in personal and academic details
- Upload mandatory documents
- Pay registration fees through the provided payment link
Documents required during registration:
- CUET UG 2025 Scorecard
- Class 10 and 12 Marksheets
- Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Photo ID Proof
- Recent Photograph
The registration process will remain open for 15 days, and only those who complete this phase will be considered for further rounds.
Cut-Off Lists and Seat Allotment from July 31
Once the registration phase concludes, BHU will release course-wise cut-off marks based on CUET UG scores and registration data. The first round of seat allotment will start around July 31, and candidates will be allotted seats according to merit, preference, and seat availability.
Mid-Entry Registration After Initial Rounds
Like the postgraduate admissions, BHU will also allow Mid-Entry Registration for UG applicants. This will begin after the first two rounds of seat allotment.
According to Professor Bhaskar Bhattacharya, Coordinator of BHU Admission Cell:
“Mid-entry registration will help those students who missed the initial round. After mid-entry, one or two more rounds of allotment will be conducted. If seats are still vacant, a final mop-up round will be organized.”
No University Preference Option in CUET UG 2025 Increased Universities' Workload
This year, CUET UG applicants were not given the option to select preferred universities at the time of application. As a result, all 13 lakh candidates' data has been sent to each central university, including BHU.
This change has significantly increased the workload on university admission departments, as they now need to filter applicants post-results using internal registration data.
However, the move ensures equal opportunities for all candidates, as registration will be open to everyone through BHU’s portal.
