About the Internship Programme 2025
The Ministry of Women and Child Development is inviting applications for its Paid Internship Programme 2025, open to women students, scholars, teachers, and social activists across India.
This internship provides hands-on exposure to the functioning of the Ministry and its ongoing projects, offering participants the chance to engage directly with policy-making, research, and programme implementation for women and child welfare.
Interns may also undertake pilot projects or micro-studies focused on the Ministry’s activities, contributing to data-driven policymaking and advocacy efforts.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open exclusively to women candidates from non-Tier I cities and rural parts of India.
- Applicants must be students/scholars/teachers/social activists associated with any university or institution (academic or non-academic).
- Age limit: 21 to 40 years.
Stipend and Benefits
- Stipend: ₹20,000 per month (lump sum).
- Travel Reimbursement: Deluxe/AC bus or 3-Tier AC train fare (to and from Delhi).
- Accommodation: Hostel facility provided on a shared basis during the internship.
Duration and Batches
The internship programme is conducted four times a year, each lasting two months:
- May–June
- August–September
- November–December
- February–March
Each batch will include up to 20 interns.

Applications must be submitted two months prior to the internship period, between the 1st and 10th of the month.
For example:
- Apply between 1st–10th March for the May–June batch.
- Apply between 1st–10th June for the August–September batch.
