📌 Short Title & Commencement

• These rules may be called Directorate of Prosecution, GNCTD – Assistant Public Prosecutor Recruitment Rules, 2025

• They shall come into force from the date of publication in the Delhi Gazette

• Applicable to posts specified in the Schedule annexed to the rules

🔹 Number of Posts: 265 (2025)

(Subject to variation depending on workload)

🔹 Classification:

• General Central Service

• Ministerial Gazetted

• Group ‘A’

💰 Pay Scale

• Level–10 (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500)

• As per 7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix

🧾 Method of Selection

• Not a direct recruitment post

• Selection method as prescribed in Schedule

   Age Limit

• Not exceeding 35 years

• Relaxable for Government servants up to 5 years

• Further relaxations as per Central Government rules

🎓 Educational Qualification

Essential Qualification: • Degree in Law from a recognized University / Institute

• Minimum 3 years’ experience at the Bar

Desirable Qualification:

• Not Applicable (N/A)

❌ Disqualification

A person shall not be eligible if:

• He/She has entered into marriage with a person having a living spouse

• Or has married despite having a living spouse

➡️ Exception may be granted if permitted under personal law and approved by Government.

⚖️ Power to Relax

• Government may relax provisions of the rules for any class or category of persons, if necessary.
