About the Competition Commission of India (CCI)
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) is a statutory body established under the Competition Act, 2002, responsible for preventing practices having adverse effects on competition, promoting consumer welfare, and ensuring freedom of trade across India. Established on 14 October 2003, CCI plays a pivotal role in regulating competition and market fairness in the country.
About the Internship Opportunity
The Competition Commission of India invites applications from eligible law students for its paid legal internship programme. Selected interns will gain exposure to competition law enforcement, regulatory processes, legal research, and policy analysis under the guidance of senior officials of the Commission.
Eligibility
- 2nd or 3rd year of 3-year LL.B. course (after graduation), OR
- 4th or final year of 5-year integrated LL.B. course, OR
- Students entering 4th year after appearing in 3rd year exams
- LL.M. students
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible
- Students must be from recognized universities/institutions
- Students with confirmed placements are not eligible
Duration
- Normally 1 month, commencing from the 1st working day of the month
- Internship for 2–3 months may be allowed with proper recommendation from the institution
Stipend
💰 ₹15,000 per month (honorarium)

- 15 interns per month

Certification
- An electronic certificate will be awarded upon successful completion
- Certificate issued after confirmation by the concerned mentor/guide.
