About the Job

Locobuzz is hiring a Legal Executive to support its Legal team. The selected candidate will work closely with the Assistant Manager – Legal and assist with day-to-day legal operations, contract lifecycle management, compliance, legal research, and business advisory.

The role is designed to provide progressive exposure to in-house legal practice, with the selected candidate expected to gradually take ownership of legal matters.

Eligibility

Applicants should have:

• An LL.B. or equivalent degree.
• Enrollment with the relevant State Bar Council.
• 1–3 years of experience in a legal role, preferably with a SaaS, technology, or IT company, or a law firm handling Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) or General Corporate matters.
• Working knowledge of the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) framework, GDPR, and basic Intellectual Property concepts.
• Strong legal drafting, communication, and research skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Prior in-house legal experience will be an added advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities

The selected Legal Executive will be responsible for:

• Assisting in drafting, formatting, and conducting first-level reviews of contracts, NDAs, and vendor/client agreements.
• Supporting data privacy compliance initiatives, including DPDP and GDPR documentation, checklists, and record-keeping.
• Maintaining trademark and copyright filing trackers and coordinating with external IP counsel.
• Conducting preliminary legal research on regulatory, contractual, and compliance matters.
• Supporting litigation matters through document collection, coordination with external counsel, and case-status tracking.
• Maintaining and updating legal templates, internal policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Responding to day-to-day legal queries raised by Sales, Finance, Customer Success, and other business teams.
• Organising and maintaining the contract repository and compliance calendar.
