RPSC APO Prelims 2026: Examination District Details From August 26, Admit Cards From August 30

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has issued an important press note regarding the Assistant Prosecution Officer (Preliminary) Examination, 2026. The examination for the Home (Prosecution) Department is scheduled to be conducted on September 2, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Candidates appearing for the examination can check their allotted examination district from August 26, 2026, through the SSO Portal. The e-Admit Cards are scheduled to be made available on the RPSC website and SSO Portal from August 30, 2026.

RPSC APO Preliminary Examination 2026: Key Dates

According to the press note, the important dates and timings are:

• Examination Date: September 2, 2026
• Examination Time: 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM
• Examination District Details: From August 26, 2026
• Admit Card Release: August 30, 2026

The examination will be conducted for the Assistant Prosecution Officer (Preliminary) Examination, 2026 under the Home (Prosecution) Department.

10 Minutes Extra Time for Fifth Option in OMR Sheet

The Commission has stated that candidates will be provided 10 additional minutes for filling the fifth option in the OMR answer sheet.

Candidates should therefore carefully follow the instructions given on the question paper and OMR sheet while marking their responses.

Candidates Can Check Examination District From August 26

Candidates will be able to obtain information regarding their allotted examination district from August 26, 2026, by logging into the SSO Portal.

Candidates are advised to check their allotted district well in advance and make the necessary travel arrangements for the examination.

APO Admit Cards to Be Released on August 30

The e-Admit Cards for the examination will be uploaded on the RPSC website as well as the SSO Portal on August 30, 2026.

Candidates can download their admit cards through the Admit Card link available on the RPSC website by entering their Application Number and Date of Birth.

Candidates can also log in to https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in/ and access the Recruitment Portal through the Citizen Apps (G2C) section to download their admit cards.

Candidates Must Reach the Examination Centre on Time

RPSC has specifically cautioned candidates regarding entry to the examination centre.

Candidates will be permitted to enter the examination centre only up to 60 minutes before the commencement of the examination. After that, no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination centre.

Accordingly, candidates have been advised to reach the examination centre sufficiently early to complete the necessary security checks and identity verification.

The Commission has also warned that candidates arriving late may be denied entry and consequently may not be able to appear in the examination.

Valid Photo Identity Document Mandatory

Candidates must carry their updated/latest original colour Aadhaar Card to the examination centre for identity verification.

If the photograph on the original Aadhaar Card is old or unclear, candidates have been advised to carry another original photo identity document, such as:

• Driving Licence;
• Passport; or
• Voter Identity Card,

provided that it contains a clear and latest colour photograph.

Candidates should also ensure that the admit card contains a latest and clear colour photograph.

The Commission has made it clear that candidates may not be permitted to enter the examination centre in the absence of a valid original photo identity document with a clear photograph.

Candidates Advised to Read Instructions on Admit Card

Candidates should carefully read all the instructions provided along with the e-Admit Card before appearing for the examination.

The Commission has also advised candidates to download their admit cards as soon as they are made available and verify all relevant examination details.

Warning Against Fraud and Unfair Means

RPSC has issued a warning to candidates against falling prey to brokers, middlemen, social media messages or criminal elements claiming that they can help candidates pass the examination.

Candidates have been advised not to respond to anyone demanding money or making promises regarding selection or success in the examination.

If any person demands a bribe or makes any fraudulent promise regarding the examination, candidates should report the matter to the concerned investigation agency and the Commission's control room at the numbers mentioned in the press note.

Strict Action Against Unfair Means

The Commission has further warned that candidates found using unfair means or adopting unfair practices during the examination may face severe legal consequences under the Rajasthan Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2022.

The press note states that violations may attract punishment including imprisonment for life and a fine of up to ₹10 crore, along with attachment and confiscation of movable and immovable property, as applicable under the law.

Candidates are therefore advised to strictly follow all examination rules and avoid carrying or using any prohibited material.

Important Advisory Regarding Examination Centre Location

RPSC has also advised candidates not to rely solely on Google Maps for locating their examination centre.

Due to technical issues, the location of some examination centres may appear incorrectly or unclearly on map services.

Candidates should therefore physically verify the location of the examination centre before the examination date by referring to the address provided on the e-Admit Card.

This will help candidates avoid delays or confusion on the day of the examination.
