Themes & Topics

The journal accepts manuscripts on any legal theme or area, encouraging cross-cultural and comparative legal research. Authors from various legal traditions and academic backgrounds are welcome to contribute, with the aim of enhancing legal understanding and contributing to societal development.

Categories of Submission

• Short Articles: 1500 – 5000 words
• Long Articles: 5000 – 10000 words
• Book Reviews: Up to 3000 words
• Case Comments: Up to 3000 words

Note: Word count includes footnotes.

Submission Guidelines

• Include a 250–300 word abstract with every submission
• Do not include personal details in the manuscript
• Submit personal and institutional information in a separate cover letter
• Format:
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 12 (Text), 10 (Footnotes)
  • Line Spacing: 1.5 (Text), 1.0 (Footnotes)
  • Headings: Font Size 14, Bold & Underlined
• Acceptable Citation Style: Any Uniform Format
• File Format: .doc (Word Document) only
• Co-authorship allowed for up to 4 authors

Plagiarism Policy

IJLAE has a strict plagiarism policy. Any manuscript with over 20% plagiarism will be outrightly rejected.

Publication Fee

• INR 800 only for accepted manuscripts
