Allahabad University BALLB (Hons) Admission 2025 Begins: CUET-UG Based Registration Starts June 30
Registration and Counseling to Be Conducted in Two Phases via Samarth Portal
Prayagraj, June 29, 2025 — The University of Allahabad has officially announced the registration and profile update process for Undergraduate Admissions 2025–26, including the prestigious BALLB (Hons) programme. The admission process will be based on the scores of CUET-UG 2025, and eligible candidates must register through the Samarth Portal starting June 30, 2025.
Phase 1: Registration and Profile Update (June 30 – July 15, 2025)
Candidates aspiring to pursue BALLB (Hons) at the University of Allahabad or its constituent colleges must complete the Phase-1 registration/profile update between June 30 and July 15, 2025.
Required Documents for Phase-1:
- CUET-UG (2025) Admit Card
- Class 10 & 10+2 marksheet cum certificate
- Recent passport-size photo and signature in JPG/JPEG format
- Valid Caste Certificate (EWS/OBC/SC/ST) in Central Government format with certificate number and issuance date
⚠️ Note: Only those who appeared in CUET-UG (2025) are eligible to register.
Phase 2: Course Selection & Payment of Registration Fee
Once the CUET-UG 2025 results are declared, candidates can proceed to select their desired programmes, including BALLB (Hons), and pay the registration fee on the portal:
- ₹300 per course for UR/OBC/EWS
- ₹150 per course for SC/ST/PwD
Only those candidates who complete both the profile update and fee payment will be considered for counseling and final admission.
Programme-Specific Subject Requirements for BALLB (Hons)
To be eligible for BALLB (Hons), candidates must have selected the following in CUET-UG 2025:
- English or Hindi (Compulsory)
- General Aptitude Test (Compulsory)
- Any ONE Subject from the following list:
- Political Science
- History
- Psychology
- Sociology
- Mass Media
- Economics
- Accountancy
- Legal Studies
- Business Studies
- Geography
- Anthropology
- Environmental Studies, etc.
This diverse subject eligibility ensures candidates from various academic backgrounds can apply for BALLB.
Important Note for Applicants
"Applicants who do not update their profile or fail to pay the registration fee will not be considered for counseling or admission," said Jayanta Kumar Pati, Director of Admissions 2025.
