Civis Invites Applications for Policy Leaders Internship Programme 2025 | Deadline: June 22
Civis, the flagship platform of Civic Innovation Foundation, is accepting applications for its prestigious Policy Leaders Internship Programme 2025. This internship is an excellent opportunity for law and public policy students to gain hands-on experience in public consultation and policymaking in India.
Since its inception in 2018, Civis has facilitated over 300 consultations, impacting more than 16,600 citizens, and has earned multiple accolades including the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia, Agami Prize for Legal Innovation, and recognition at the Maharashtra StartUp Summit and Vibrant Gujarat StartUp Summit.
Internship Overview
The Civis Policy Leaders Internship is designed to provide experiential learning in public law and governance. Interns will actively contribute to making laws more participatory by simplifying complex policies for public understanding and supporting civic engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Summarise draft laws and policies for public understanding.
- Conduct detailed research on the background and implications of proposed legislations.
- Author articles and policy analyses for the Civis blog and external legal/policy publications.
- Gain hands-on training in the public consultation process.
- Build an understanding of public policy frameworks in India.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to law and public policy students who are currently in their 3rd year or above.
- Candidates with a passion for public governance, policy research, and citizen engagement are highly encouraged to apply.
Duration and Mode
- Duration: Minimum 12 weeks
- Timeline: July to September 2025
- Mode: Fully Remote Internship
The internship may be extended on request and upon approval of the internship coordinator.
