📌 About the Competition Commission of India (CCI)
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) is a statutory body under the Government of India, established on 14th October 2003 under the Competition Act, 2002. The CCI’s primary objective is to prevent practices that adversely affect competition, promote and sustain market competition, protect consumer interests, and ensure freedom of trade in Indian markets.
📣 About the Internship Opportunity
The Competition Commission of India invites applications from law students for its legal internship program, which offers practical exposure to the enforcement of competition law in India. This internship provides an opportunity to work closely with legal professionals and gain hands-on experience in legal research, drafting, and competition law enforcement.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
The internship is open to Indian nationals only. Students eligible to apply must belong to one of the following categories:
- 2nd or 3rd year of a 3-year LL.B. (after graduation)
- 4th or 5th year of a 5-year integrated LL.B. course
- Students entering the 4th year (after completing the 3rd year) of a 5-year law program
- LL.M. students
Additional conditions:
- The internship is only open to students from recognized Institutions/Universities.
- Students already placed through campus placement are not eligible.
- Exposure or interest in Competition Law is preferred.
🕐 Internship Duration
- The standard internship duration is one month, starting from the 1st working day of the month.
- However, applicants may request to intern for 2–3 months, subject to a recommendation from their university or college.
💸 Stipend
Interns will receive an honorarium of ₹15,000 per month.
📄 Seats Available
Only 15 seats are available each month. Selection is based on merit, exposure to competition law, and strength of application.
📜 Certification
After successful completion of the internship, based on mentor feedback, interns will receive an e-certificate from CCI through electronic mode.

- Rolling applications accepted.
- To apply for a particular month, the application must reach by the 1st day of the preceding month.
- Example: For December 2025, apply before 1st November 2025.

- Write a Statement of Purpose (SOP) in about 200 words (include your topic of interest and objectives of the study).
