West Bengal Judicial Service Examination 2024 – Notification Out
The Public Service Commission, West Bengal (WBPSC) has released the detailed notification for the West Bengal Judicial Service Examination 2024 for the post of Civil Judge (Junior Division). Eligible candidates can now apply online within the stipulated dates.
📅 Important Dates
- Commencement of Online Application: 10 October 2025
- Closing Date for Online Application & Fee Payment: 09 November 2025 (upto 3:00 PM)
- Application Edit Window: 12 November 2025 to 18 November 2025 (upto 3:00 PM)
📌 Examination Stages
The W.B.J.S Examination 2024 will be conducted in three successive stages:
- Preliminary Examination (MCQ Type)
- Final Examination (Written – Conventional Type)
- Personality Test
Prelims: To be held tentatively in February 2026 at Kolkata and Darjeeling (for certain district candidates).
Final Exam: Tentatively in May 2026 at Kolkata.
Personality Test: To be held at the WBPSC office, Kolkata.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- Citizenship: Indian citizen or as declared eligible by Government of India.
- Educational Qualification:
- Degree in Law from a recognized University or Institution affiliated to be recognized by the Government.
- Enrolment as an advocate in the roll of Bar Council of any State or Union Territory of India on the date of advertisement.
- Ability to read, write, and speak Bengali (except for candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali).

Application fee payment can be made only through online mode.
