📰 Public Notice: Empanelment of Legal Aid Counsel – Punjab

The Punjab State Legal Services Authority (PSLSA) has invited applications from practicing advocates for empanelment as Legal Aid Counsel. Selected advocates will represent cases on behalf of the Punjab State Legal Services Authority and District Legal Services Authorities before various courts, tribunals, and commissions within the jurisdiction of the State of Punjab.

This empanelment aims to strengthen access to justice by ensuring competent legal representation for eligible litigants under the Legal Services Authorities framework.

📌 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfill the following conditions:

Must be a practicing advocate
Must have minimum 3 years of experience at the Bar
Must be willing to offer services as Legal Aid Counsel on behalf of PSLSA/DLSAs
Must be enrolled with a recognized Bar Association

🏛️ Courts, Tribunals & Authorities Covered

Empanelled Legal Aid Counsel may be required to represent cases before the following forums:

Hon’ble High Court of Punjab & Haryana
District Courts
Educational Tribunal
Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT)
Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT)
Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT)
State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Punjab
State Information Commission
State Transport Appellate Tribunal, Punjab
State SC Commission, Punjab
Other Tribunals and Quasi-Judicial Bodies of the State of Punjab

📍 These bodies are located at Chandigarh, SAS Nagar (Mohali), and Panchkula, and are applicable only for litigants belonging to the State of Punjab.

📄 Application Procedure

Eligible advocates must submit:

Duly filled application form (in the prescribed format)
Copy of Enrollment Certificate
Experience Certificate

📌 The application must be forwarded through the Executive Member of the concerned Bar Association, where the applicant is enrolled as a member.

🗓️ Last Date to Apply

🛑 Applications must reach the undersigned on or before 05 January 2026.

Late or incomplete applications may not be considered.
