The Office of Hon’ble Member of Parliament Mr. Sasikanth Senthil has invited applications for Online Parliamentary Research Interns for the Budget Session 2026. This internship provides a rare opportunity to work closely with Parliamentary functioning, legislative research, policy analysis, and budget-related debates during one of the most crucial sessions of the Indian Parliament.

The internship is conducted in remote mode, making it accessible to students and recent graduates across the country who are keenly interested in governance, public policy, and legislative processes.


About the Internship

The Parliamentary Research Internship is designed to give interns hands-on exposure to the working of Parliament, particularly during the Budget Session, which plays a pivotal role in shaping India’s economic and policy priorities.

Interns will assist in:

  • Research for Parliamentary debates and questions
  • Policy-oriented legislative drafting
  • Data-backed issue analysis
  • Tracking ministries, bills, and Parliamentary business

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Students or recent graduates from:
    • Political Science
    • Public Policy
    • Economics
    • Law
    • Journalism
    • Data Analytics
    • Or allied disciplines
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Genuine interest in governance, Parliament, and public policy
  • Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment


Roles & Responsibilities

Selected interns will be expected to:

  • Provide research support for Budget Session debates and Parliamentary questions
  • Prepare policy briefs, legislative notes, and issue-based reports
  • Monitor Parliamentary proceedings, ministries, and current affairs
  • Assist with data analysis, drafting work, and background research
  • Support the MP’s office during active Parliamentary sessions
