About the Recruitment

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission has released Advertisement No. 03/2026 dated March 10, 2026, inviting applications for the post of Assistant District Public Prosecution Officer (ADPO) under the Home Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Assistant District Public Prosecution Officers play a crucial role in representing the State in criminal matters before courts and assisting the prosecution in conducting criminal trials.

The recruitment process will consist of a written examination followed by an interview.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the post must fulfill the following requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognised university

Preference may be given to candidates who:

  • Have secured First Division in their law degree, or
  • Possess at least two years of experience as an advocate.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 40 years

The age of candidates will be calculated as on 01 January 2027.

The date of birth mentioned in the High School (Class 10) certificate will be considered valid for verification.

Age relaxation will be applicable as per the rules of the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Selection Process

The recruitment process will consist of:

  1. Written Examination
  2. Interview

According to the official notification:

  • 87% weightage will be given to the written examination
  • 13% weightage will be given to the interview

The final merit list will be prepared based on combined performance in both stages.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be appointed as Gazetted Class-II officers under the Home Department.

Salary Structure

₹9300 – ₹34800 + Grade Pay ₹4200

Application Fee and Late Fee

The notification also specifies penalties for late submission of applications.

Additionally, candidates must pay ₹50 correction fee if they modify their application form during the correction window.
