The platform seeks to improve access to justice by offering legal information in multiple Indian languages, enabling individuals to better understand and exercise their legal rights.



About the Internship

Nyaaya is inviting applications for the position of Intern – Karnataka to support the Samvidhaan Fellowship programme in the state.

The selected intern will work closely with the Karnataka Programme Manager and programme team, assisting with programme implementation, research, and administrative coordination to ensure the smooth execution of fellowship activities.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate students in law or social sciences in any year of study
  • Strong interest in access to justice and social empowerment issues, especially women’s and children’s rights
  • Fluency in English and Kannada (written and spoken)
  • Strong writing, research, and organisational skills
  • Good project management and coordination abilities
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Willingness to travel within Karnataka when required (travel expenses will be reimbursed)

Preference may be given to candidates with:

  • Prior experience in legal research, programme coordination, or social sector internships
  • Familiarity with legal empowerment initiatives or community-based programmes

Responsibilities

Selected interns will be involved in:

  • Supporting programme coordination and implementation of the Samvidhaan Fellowship in Karnataka
  • Providing administrative and logistical support, including scheduling meetings, documentation, and report preparation
  • Conducting legal research for Nyaaya’s legal awareness programmes and partner organisations
  • Assisting in workshops, meetings, and field visits
  • Supporting documentation, data management, and internal communications

Duration

The internship will initially be for 3 months, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance.

Stipend

Selected candidates will receive:

💰 ₹7,500 per month
📜 Experience Certificate upon completion

Location

Candidates must be based in Karnataka and willing to travel within the state.

There is no daily in-person office requirement, allowing flexible work arrangements depending on programme activities.
