NALSA Internship 2026 for Law Students: Apply for One-Month Full-Time Legal Internship
The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) is inviting applications for its Internship Programme for law students across India. The internship aims to provide practical exposure to legal aid mechanisms, access to justice initiatives, Lok Adalats, and the functioning of the National Legal Services Authority.
The programme offers students an opportunity to understand how legal services are provided to weaker and disadvantaged sections of society under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987.

The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) was constituted under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 with the objective of:
• Providing free legal services to weaker sections of society
• Ensuring equal access to justice
• Organising Lok Adalats for amicable dispute resolution
• Promoting legal awareness and legal aid initiatives
⚖️ About the Internship
NALSA offers a one-month full-time physical internship programme for law students.
The internship is designed to:
• Acquaint students with legal aid institutions
• Provide practical understanding of access to justice
• Offer exposure to specialised areas of legal services
• Familiarise students with court and field-related legal work
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Applications are open to students pursuing:
• Three-Year LL.B. Course
• Five-Year Integrated Law Course
from any recognised university, college, or institution.
Preference will be given to:
• 2nd or 3rd year students of the Three-Year LL.B. Course
• 4th or 5th year students of the Five-Year Integrated Law Course
⏳ Duration of Internship
• Duration: One Month (Four Weeks)
• Internship starts from the 1st day of the month
📝 Submission of Internship Report
At the end of the internship, interns are required to submit a report regarding the work undertaken during the programme.
📜 Certificate of Internship
Interns will receive a Certificate of Internship only upon:
• Successful completion of internship
• Satisfactory performance
• Approval of the Member Secretary, NALSA
Important Note
• Certificate will be awarded only if the intern maintains at least 90% attendance.
• No Letter of Recommendation (LOR) will be issued by NALSA.
📌 Internship Guidelines
Interns must note the following conditions:
• No stipend or remuneration will be provided
• No TA/DA or accommodation facility will be provided
• Interns must arrange their own accommodation
• Internship is strictly full-time and physical in nature
• Interns cannot pursue any other course/work simultaneously during the internship period
• Interns must carry their own laptops
• Local travel to courts and offices may be required
Office Timings
• 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Working Days
• Monday to Saturday
• Second and Fourth Saturdays are holidays
Dress Code
• Formal Black & White attire as prescribed by the Bar Council of Delhi
Attendance Requirement
• Minimum 90% attendance is mandatory
Candidates are advised not to apply during college examination periods.

• Expression of Interest (maximum one page)
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from:
• Dean
• Head of Department
• Internship & Placement Committee
• Or any competent authority
The NOC must clearly mention:

• Course details
• Semester/Year
