Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess either of the following qualifications:
Option 1
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized University/Institution; and
- Minimum 4 years' experience as a Legal Practitioner at the Bar and/or handling legal work in a Central/State Government Department, Autonomous Body, Statutory Body, or Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).
OR
Option 2
- Master's Degree in Law (LL.M.) from a recognized University/Institution; and
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Legal Practitioner at the Bar and/or handling legal work in a Central/State Government Department, Autonomous Body, Statutory Body, or Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).
Desirable Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
- Drafting, vetting, and negotiating MoUs, agreements, and contracts.
- Government procurement rules, General Financial Rules (GFR), and CVC guidelines.
- Legal framework applicable to IITs, universities, and autonomous institutions.
- Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), technology transfer, and licensing agreements.
- Court and tribunal matters, including drafting replies and affidavits.
- Coordination with legal counsels.
- MS Office and legal research tools.
Job Responsibilities
The selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Handling legal matters of the Institute.
- Providing legal advice and institutional compliance support.
- Drafting and reviewing legal agreements and contracts.
- Managing litigation and coordinating with legal counsels.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
