Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
For both posts, candidates must possess:
- A Degree in Law from a recognized university in India.
Preference may be given to candidates who have completed a 5-year integrated law course.
Experience Requirements
Assistant Manager (Law)
Candidates must have:
- Enrolment as an Advocate with a Bar Council; and
- Minimum 2 years of post-enrolment experience as:
- Practicing Advocate; or
- Law Officer in the legal department of a Scheduled Commercial Bank; or
- Combination of both.
Deputy Manager (Law)
Candidates must have:
- Enrolment as an Advocate with a Bar Council; and
- Minimum 4 years of post-enrolment experience as:
- Practicing Advocate; or
- Law Officer in the legal department of a Scheduled Commercial Bank; or
- Combination of both.
Internship experience, teaching experience, and training experience will not be considered for eligibility.
Age Limit
Assistant Manager (Law)
- Minimum Age: 25 Years
- Maximum Age: 32 Years
Deputy Manager (Law)
- Minimum Age: 25 Years
- Maximum Age: 35 Years
Age will be calculated as on May 31, 2026. Relaxations for reserved categories will be provided as per Government of India norms.

Pay Scale:
₹48,480 – ₹85,920
Deputy Manager (Law)

₹64,820 – ₹93,960

Job Responsibilities
Selected Law Officers will be responsible for:
- Drafting, vetting, and negotiating legal documents and agreements.
- Providing legal opinions on various legal issues.
- Assisting operational departments in managing legal risks.
- Coordinating litigation matters and attending judicial and quasi-judicial forums.
- Liaising with statutory and regulatory authorities.
- Coordinating with advocates and legal professionals.
- Conducting title investigations of properties in specialized lending units.
- Handling legal compliance and advisory work assigned by the Bank.
Selection Process
The selection process will consist of:
Stage I: Online Written Examination
The online examination will comprise:
Objective Test (50 Marks)
Sections include:
- Reasoning Ability
- English Language
- Professional Knowledge
Descriptive Test (50 Marks)
- 8 questions will be provided.
- Candidates must answer any 5 questions.
- Each question carries 10 marks.
There will be no negative marking.
Stage II: Interview
Candidates shortlisted from the written examination will be called for an interview carrying 100 marks.
Final Merit
Final merit will be prepared using:
- Written Test: 70% Weightage
- Interview: 30% Weightage
