Allahabad University Unveils Roll of Honour Board to Celebrate Legacy of Eminent Alumni

In a heartfelt tribute to its illustrious alumni, the University of Allahabad today unveiled a Roll of Honour board at the historic Vizianagaram Hall. The board features the names of 256 former students who have made remarkable contributions across various fields, including politics, law, literature, art, education, and administration.

The event was led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sangita Srivastava, who formally inaugurated the board. In her address, Prof. Srivastava highlighted the deep significance of the initiative, stating that the Roll of Honour board serves as a powerful symbol of the university’s rich academic tradition and the exceptional legacy of its alumni.
She further noted that the choice of location—Vizianagaram Hall—was deliberate, as the hall itself embodies the university’s historical and cultural heritage. “By installing the alumni board here, we are uniting two key pillars of the university’s proud history,” she said.

Earlier in the event, the Vice-Chancellor was warmly welcomed by Registrar Prof. Ashish Khare and Prof. Kumar Virendra, Secretary of the University of Allahabad Alumni Association.
