This new application window comes following a High Court directive, which nullified the earlier recruitment due to non-compliance with NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) eligibility norms.

Background: Why Fresh Applications Are Invited
Originally, under Advertisement No. 51, a total of 1,017 Assistant Professor posts were advertised, including 107 for the B.Ed subject. The last date for submission was August 31, 2022.
However, a petition filed by Anju and two others led to a High Court ruling on December 9, 2022, which cancelled the B.Ed recruitment due to discrepancies with NCTE eligibility standards. The court ordered the commission to re-advertise the B.Ed subject positions.
While the exams for the remaining 910 posts in 33 subjects were conducted on April 16–17, 2025, applications for the B.Ed subject could not be accepted until now due to structural changes in the recruitment commission.

Eligibility Criteria (As per NCTE Norms)
Only candidates who possessed NCTE-compliant qualifications as of August 31, 2022, are eligible to apply for these positions.
Option 1: For B.Ed Teaching
- Master’s degree in Science / Mathematics / Social Science / Commerce / Language with at least 55% marks
Option 2: For M.Ed Teaching
- M.Ed degree with minimum 55% marks
Option 3: Alternative Qualification
- MA in Education (55%)
- AND B.Ed / B.El.Ed / equivalent & valid degree with 55% marks
- AND PhD in Education or UGC NET in Education or equivalent qualification
