New Delhi, June 12, 2025 — As the world gears up for the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025, more than 100 Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) across India have taken the lead in celebrating the powerful theme of #YogaForOneEarthOneHealth.
In alignment with the Ministry of Education’s vision, universities, institutes, and colleges are actively integrating yoga into everyday campus life, ensuring a deep and lasting impact on student and faculty wellness.
Thematic Focus: Yoga Unplugged, Yoga Prabhav & Yoga Mahakumbh
To ensure a structured and meaningful celebration, the Ministry of Education has outlined specific focus areas:
- Yoga Unplugged: youth-led informal yoga sessions
- Yoga Prabhav: demonstrating the transformative power of yoga
- Yoga Mahakumbh: large-scale community and institutional events
These themes are guiding efforts across the country and shaping a movement that connects physical, mental, and spiritual well-being with sustainability and harmony.
Nationwide Participation: From IITs to Private Institutes
From prestigious IITs and NITs to Central and Private Universities, HEIs are organizing a wide range of activities to build awareness and engagement with yoga. Some notable highlights include:
