Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur has announced a prestigious National Book Review Competition for 2025, inviting entries from law students, research scholars, academicians, and practitioners across India. The initiative aims to promote critical reading and legal scholarship in India’s academic and professional community.

Established in 2018 through the Madhya Pradesh Dharmashastra National Law University Act 24 of 2018, DNLU Jabalpur has quickly risen as a premier legal education institution. Organized by the Central Library of DNLU, the National Book Review Competition 2025 seeks to:
- Encourage deep engagement with significant legal literature
- Sharpen analytical and academic writing skills
- Foster a habit of critical thinking and structured argumentation
The competition will culminate with an online presentation round for top 10 shortlisted entries, followed by final prize distribution.

Participants must select a book related to one of the following themes:

- Human Rights
- Social Justice
- Criminal Law and Criminal Justice
- Environmental and Climate Law
- Law and Technology (AI, Data Privacy, Cyber Law)
- Legal Theory and Jurisprudence
- Law of Evidence
- Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
- International Trade Law
- Legal Biography / Memoir
✍️ Participation & Eligibility
- Open to UG/PG students, research scholars, academicians, and practitioners from all disciplines.
- Co-authorship allowed (max 2 authors).
- All entries will be screened by a selection committee; top 10 reviews will qualify for online presentations.
📄 Book Review Guidelines
Participants must follow this format:
- Title & Author Details
- Brief Overview (250–400 words)
- Critical Evaluation (600–800 words)
- Significance (200–300 words)
- Personal Reflection (200–300 words)
- Conclusion (150–200 words)
- Formatting: Times New Roman, 12pt, 1.5 spacing, 1500–2000 words
- Referencing: Bluebook / APA / MLA (consistency required)
- Plagiarism: Strictly not allowed (checked via software)
