Internship Opportunity at NITI Aayog: Apply by December 10, 2025
The National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog)—the Government of India’s premier public policy think tank—has opened applications for its prestigious Internship Programme. This opportunity allows students to gain hands-on experience in public policy, governance, research, and development strategies at the highest level.
About NITI Aayog
NITI Aayog functions as the apex advisory body for government policy across India. It promotes cooperative federalism by involving states in policymaking and works on evidence-based frameworks for national development.
About the Internship Programme
The NITI Aayog Internship Scheme was initiated in 2015. It aims to engage students and research scholars in policy formulation and program development.
- Duration: Minimum 6 weeks and up to 6 months
- Nature: Policy research, data analysis, project assistance
- Certificate: Issued after successful completion
Eligibility
1. Undergraduate Students
- Completed/appeared for 2nd year/4th semester exams
- Minimum 85% marks in Class 12
2. Postgraduate Students / Research Scholars
- Completed/appeared for 1st year/2nd semester PG exams
- Minimum 70% marks in Graduation
3. Final-Year / Newly Graduated Students
- Must have 70%+ cumulative marks
- Gap between result declaration and desired internship month cannot exceed 6 months
Application Procedure
- Apply online only through the NITI Aayog Internship Portal.

- Applicants must specify their area of interest.
- A student may apply once per financial year.

- NOC from their college/institution (Format: Annexure C)
