About the K. L. Arora Chair in Criminal Law

The K.L. Arora Chair in Criminal Law was established in 2011 by Justice D.P. Wadhwa (Retd.), former Judge, Supreme Court of India. It honours the legacy of late Shri Kundan Lal Arora, Senior Advocate, and aims to advance teaching, research, writing, and advocacy in criminal law.


About the Short-Term Internship Programme

The Chair invites in-person interns who can physically join the NLU Delhi campus to engage in a collaborative and research-intensive environment. Selected interns will assist ongoing projects under the guidance of experienced researchers.


Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Completion of two years of a 5-year BA LL.B. programme OR
    Completion of one year of a 3-year LL.B. programme.
  • Preference for students who have completed Criminal Law coursework.
  • Strong academic record, research skills, and writing abilities.
  • Previous research experience is an added advantage (not mandatory).
  • Preference for applicants residing in Delhi NCR.


Duration

  • Minimum 1 month, extendable up to 2 months.
  • Internship Window: December 2025 – January 2026


Mode

  • Physical (On-campus at NLU Delhi)


Roles and Responsibilities

Interns will assist with:

  • Ongoing research projects
  • Data compilation
  • Empirical and doctrinal research
  • Report drafting
  • Administrative tasks required for the Chair’s functioning
