Academic Importance of the Debate Topic

The concept of Right to Recall is widely debated in democratic systems. It refers to the ability of voters to remove elected representatives from office before the end of their term.

Supporters argue that the mechanism strengthens public accountability and democratic control. Critics believe that it may disrupt electoral stability and undermine the mandate given by voters.

The debate competition will allow students to present constitutional arguments, comparative political examples and policy perspectives related to this important issue.

Platform for Academic Dialogue

Events like “Prativaad” provide students with an opportunity to improve their public speaking legal reasoning and analytical skills. They also encourage dialogue on important constitutional questions affecting democratic governance.

The organisers hope that the competition will foster meaningful discussion and intellectual exchange among students from different academic institutions.
