Hamari Pahchan NGO Invites Applications for Online Legal Internship; Open to Law Students Across India

Hamari Pahchan NGO has invited applications for its one-month Online Legal Internship, offering law students an opportunity to work on social justice initiatives while gaining practical experience in legal research, policy advocacy, legal awareness, and community engagement. The internship is conducted remotely and follows a rolling application process.

The programme is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical legal work by engaging interns in projects related to education, women's rights, health, and public interest law.

Hamari Pahchan NGO is a Delhi-based non-governmental organisation committed to promoting social justice, women's empowerment, education, and health awareness. About the Internship

The internship provides law students with practical exposure to rights-based advocacy and legal research through work on social issues such as:

  • Education
  • Malnutrition
  • Menstrual hygiene
  • Elderly care
  • Public interest and human rights

Interns will work remotely under the guidance of experienced professionals and mentors.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be pursuing a 3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated law programme (B.A. LL.B./B.B.A. LL.B.).
  • Students from all years are eligible to apply.
  • Possess good communication, legal research, and drafting skills.
  • Have an interest in public interest law, human rights, and community service.

Roles and Responsibilities

Selected interns will:

  • Conduct research on legal and policy issues relating to social justice.
  • Draft legal awareness material including pamphlets, posters, and digital content.
  • Prepare campaign content and assist in digital fundraising initiatives.
  • Monitor legal developments and recommend policy reforms.
  • Support the NGO's pro bono lawyer network and outreach activities.
  • Create legal awareness videos and short reels.
  • Learn RTI filing procedures and prepare advocacy reports.
