The Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2025 Day 2 examinations concluded successfully today, May 14, 2025. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the CUET UG 2025 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across various centres in India. As per the official schedule, the CUET 2025 exams commenced on May 13 and will continue until June 03, 2025.

Exam Day Overview: Smooth Conduct Across Centres

The gates of CUET UG 2025 exam centres opened early in the morning, and the entry process was reported to be smooth and well-managed in major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, and Hyderabad. Shift 1 (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM) candidates were required to report by 7:00 AM, with gates closing at 8:30 AM. Similarly, Shift 2 (3:00 PM to 6:00 PM) candidates must report by 1:00 PM, with entry closing at 2:30 PM sharp. No candidates were allowed entry post gate closure.

Students entered with their admit cards and valid photo ID proofs. Electronic gadgets and accessories were strictly prohibited inside the examination centres.

On May 14, CUET UG 2025 was conducted for the following subjects:

  • General Test
  • English
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Economics
  • Accountancy
  • Business Studies

CUET General Test – Moderate Level

The General Test conducted in Shift 1 was reviewed to be of moderate difficulty. Questions were based on topics like:

  • Science (3 questions)
  • History (3–4 questions)
  • Geography (4–5 questions)
  • Books and Authors (2 questions)
  • Dance Forms, Space Missions, and Digital India (4–5 questions)

Students highlighted that the test was entirely based on NCERT books, making it approachable for those who prepared thoroughly from the standard syllabus.

Business Studies – Conceptual Focus

Students found the Business Studies paper to be moderate in terms of difficulty. The major areas covered included:

  • Nature and Significance of Management
  • Staffing (7–8 questions)
  • Organising and Controlling
  • Business Environment and Marketing
  • Entrepreneurship Development

Many test takers appreciated the balance of direct and analytical questions, noting that the paper tested fundamental understanding and conceptual clarity.

Economics – Easy to Moderate

The Economics paper received positive feedback from students. Most found the difficulty level to be easy to moderate. Key topics included:

  • Demand and Supply Curves (7–8 questions)
  • Forms of Market and Price Determination
  • Money and Banking (5–6 questions)
  • National Income and Government Budget
  • Balance of Payments

Questions largely adhered to the NCERT framework, and no technical glitches were reported during the examination.

Student Reactions and Paper Analysis

Student feedback from various centres, including Noida and Lucknow, indicated that the overall level of the exam ranged from moderate to easy. The absence of technical difficulties added to the seamless test-taking experience.

"The exam was mostly NCERT-based, and those who prepared with NCERT books had no trouble," said a candidate at the Noida centre.

CUET 2025 Structure and Participation

The CUET UG 2025 is expected to witness participation from over 11 lakh candidates. The exam is being conducted for 37 subjects across multiple days and slots. Each subject paper contains 50 multiple-choice questions with no optional questions. The duration for each paper is 60 minutes.

Upcoming Exams and Guidelines

Candidates appearing in upcoming shifts and days are advised to:

NTA will continue the CUET UG 2025 until June 03, 2025, and will release answer keys and response sheets shortly after the conclusion of the exam.
