The Digital India Bhashini Division (DIBD), operating under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has officially announced a prestigious paid legal internship opportunity for Indian law students under the National Language Translation Mission: BHASHINI.
This initiative, part of the Digital India programme, aims to create a robust digital ecosystem to break the language barrier in accessing government services.

🎓 Who Can Apply?
✅ Indian nationals currently enrolled in recognised Indian universities
✅ Students who have completed at least 2 years of LL.B. (3-year or 5-year course)
✅ Minimum 60% marks in the last completed degree or ongoing program
📌 Note: Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection. Preference will be given to candidates with prior legal internship exposure, strong academic credentials, and a demonstrated interest in public policy or digital law.
📌 Selection and Mentorship
- Every selected intern will be assigned a mentor from DIBD
- Final selection will be based on:
- Past academic performance
- Internship exposure
- Relevance to current legal and policy frameworks
- Evaluation will be based on attendance, performance review, and submission of an internship report
