The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru has officially released the notification for admissions to Research Degree Programmes (Ph.D.) for the Academic Year 2026–27. 🎓 Eligibility Criteria – Ph.D. (Law)
Candidates fulfilling any one of the following conditions are eligible to apply:
🔹 Bachelor’s Degree in Law (5-Year Programme)
- 5-year / 10-semester / 15-trimester LL.B. degree
- Minimum 55% aggregate marks
- 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD candidates
🔹 Bachelor’s Degree in Law (3-Year Programme)
- 3-year / 6-semester / 9-trimester LL.B. degree
- Minimum 55% aggregate marks
- 50% marks for reserved categories
🔹 Master of Laws (LL.M.)
- LL.M. degree from a recognized university
- Minimum 55% aggregate marks
- 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD candidates
🔹 Solicitors Examination
- Candidates who have passed the Solicitors Examination conducted by the Bombay Incorporated Law Society, along with an LL.B./LL.B. (Hons.) degree
