CUET PG 2026 Advisory Released: NTA Issues Important Exam Day Guidelines for Candidates

The CUET PG 2026 examination is being conducted from 06 March 2026 to 27 March 2026 across various examination centres in India. Candidates should ensure they reach the examination centre before the reporting time mentioned in the admit card.
Visit Exam Centre in Advance
The NTA has recommended that candidates visit the exam centre location at least one day before the examination. This will help candidates avoid confusion or delays on the day of the exam.
This instruction is particularly important for PwD and PwBD candidates, who are advised to verify the accessibility and facilities available at the test centre.
Aadhaar Authentication and Verification
During the application process, candidates were given the option to register using Aadhaar authentication.
Candidates who did not register through Aadhaar or used another identification option must report to the examination centre at least one hour before the gate closing time so that their identity verification process can be completed smoothly.
The NTA has also advised candidates to ensure that their Aadhaar biometric authentication is not locked on the day of the examination.
Strict Rules Against Unfair Means
The NTA has warned candidates against adopting any unfair practices during the examination.
The exam centres will be under live CCTV surveillance and equipped with signal jammers to prevent cheating.
Candidates found indulging in any unfair practices, including passing chits or using prohibited items, will face strict action including disqualification and debarment from future NTA examinations.
Documents to Carry on Exam Day
Candidates must carry the following documents to the examination centre:
• Printed CUET PG 2026 Admit Card (preferably colour print)
• Two passport-size photographs
• Valid government-issued photo ID proof
Accepted identity proofs include:
• Aadhaar Card
• PAN Card
• Voter ID
• Passport
• Driving Licence
• E-Aadhaar or Aadhaar Enrollment Slip
Photocopies or digital copies of ID proofs on mobile phones will not be accepted.
Guidelines for PwD / PwBD Candidates
Candidates belonging to Persons with Disabilities (PwD) or Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories must carry the required certificates issued by competent authorities.
Important provisions include:
• Facility of scribe/reader/lab assistant where applicable
• Compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour for eligible candidates
• Early reporting to facilitate entry and verification
Candidates must have opted for the scribe facility during the online application process to avail this benefit.
Items Not Allowed Inside Exam Centre
NTA has strictly prohibited candidates from carrying personal belongings into the examination centre.
Prohibited items include:
• Mobile phones
• Electronic devices
• Smart watches
• Calculators
• Bags or personal items
The exam authorities will not provide any facility for safekeeping personal belongings.
Biometric Attendance and Verification
Candidates must complete biometric verification and attendance procedures at the exam centre.

• Paste their passport-size photograph
• Provide left-hand thumb impression
Candidates must ensure that the thumb impression is clear and not smudged.
Exam Mode and Question Paper Instructions
The CUET PG 2026 exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
Candidates should ensure that the question paper appearing on the computer screen matches the subject and language selected during the application process.
If any discrepancy is noticed, candidates must immediately inform the exam invigilator.
Special Provision for Diabetic Candidates
The NTA has allowed certain relaxations for diabetic candidates appearing in the exam.
Allowed items include:
• Sugar tablets
• Fruits such as bananas, apples, or oranges
• Transparent water bottles
However, packed food items such as chocolates, sandwiches, or candies are not permitted.
Rough Sheets and Exam Hall Rules
Blank sheets for rough work will be provided inside the examination hall.
Candidates must:
• Write their Name and Roll Number on each sheet
• Submit the sheets before leaving the examination hall
Failure to submit the rough sheets may lead to non-evaluation of the answer sheet.
