The Department of Legal Affairs (DOLA) offers an Internship Programme aimed at providing practical exposure to law students and graduates.

Eligibility

Applicants must be:

  • Indian students who have completed:
    • 2nd year of 3-year LL.B., or

  • Advanced computer skills (MS Office, infographics, Adobe tools, etc.)

Duration

📆 1 Month

  • Begins from the first working day of each month

  • New Delhi (Main Secretariat & Supreme Court Sections)

Selection Process

  • Around 50 candidates are selected every month
  • Shortlisting is done as per departmental guidelines
  • Selected candidates are informed via email/portal

Nature of Work & Deployment

Interns may be deployed in:

  • Main Secretariat (New Delhi)
  • Central Agency Section (Supreme Court)
  • Litigation Sections (Delhi High Court)
  • Branch Secretariats across major cities

Certification

📜 Certificate will be awarded upon:

  • 90% attendance (mandatory)
  • Satisfactory performance and evaluation

Honorarium

💰 ₹1,000 (on successful completion)

Important Terms

  • Full-time physical internship (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
  • No parallel course/work allowed
  • Interns must arrange their own accommodation
  • Strict confidentiality and NDA compliance required
  • Formal dress code (black trousers & white shirt)
