CBSE Class 10, 12 Results 2025 Declared: Over 36 Lakh Students Pass; Girls Outshine Boys Again

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the results for both Class 10 and Class 12 today, May 13, 2025. The results are now available on the official websites — cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in — and can also be accessed through the DigiLocker and UMANG platforms.
CBSE Class 12 Results 2025: Key Highlights
- Total Registered: 17,04,367
- Appeared: 16,92,794
- Passed: 14,96,307
- Overall Pass Percentage: 88.39%
(Up from 87.98% in 2024)
Gender-wise Performance
- Girls: 91.64%
- Boys: 85.70%
- Transgender Candidates: 100%
Girls once again outshone boys by a significant margin of 5.94%.

- Vijayawada: 99.60%
- Trivandrum: 99.32%
- Chennai: 97.39%
- Bengaluru: 95.95%
- Delhi West: 95.37%
Institution-wise Performance
- Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs): 99.29%
- Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs): 99.05%
- Central Tibetan Schools (CTSA): 98.96%
CBSE Class 10 Results 2025: Key Highlights
- Total Appeared: 24.12 lakh
- Subjects: Exams held in 84 subjects from February 15 to March 18, 2025
- The board has introduced a ‘Relative Grading’ system this year to reduce academic pressure. Cutoffs for each grade are now dynamic, depending on overall student performance.
High Scorers and Compartment Students in Class 12
- Students Scoring Above 90%: 1,11,544 (6.59%)
- Students Scoring Above 95%: 24,867 (1.47%)
- Compartment Category: 1,29,095 students (7.63%)
(Slight rise from 1,22,170 in 2024)
Supplementary Exams and Re-Evaluation
Students who could not pass one subject can appear for the Supplementary Examination in July 2025.
