Prayagraj: Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University, Prayagraj has officially released the notification for Ph.D. Admission 2025 under PRSUDET-2025. Eligible candidates can apply online for admission into various disciplines across the Faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce, and Agriculture. The online application window has started from April 28, 2025, and will remain open till May 31, 2025. Mode of Admission
Admission to Ph.D. programmes will primarily be based on NET scores (UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/ICAR-NET or valid JRF/Fellowship certificates). There will be no separate entrance test for subjects where NET exams are conducted. However, an entrance test may be held for subjects not covered under any national-level NET exams.
The admission process includes two stages:
- Level-1: Merit list preparation based on NET scores.
- Level-2: Interview/Viva-Voce conducted by the Departmental Research Committee (DRC).
Candidates qualifying NET in June 2024 or later are eligible under three categories:
- Category-1: JRF + Assistant Professor (Eligible for Ph.D. admission, interview only)
- Category-2: Assistant Professor + Ph.D. admission
- Category-3: Ph.D. admission only
Applicants exempted from Level-1 (JRF holders) must still fill out the application form and appear directly for the interview.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PWD) or equivalent grading. Those holding an M.Phil. degree with similar marks are also eligible. Candidates with a 4-year bachelor’s degree must have at least 75% marks or equivalent grade (70% for reserved categories).
Application Fee
- General/OBC/EWS: Rs. 1200/-
- SC/ST/PwD: Rs. 800/-
The fee is payable online through debit/credit card or net banking.

Important Instructions
- The university will prepare the merit list using NET marks (70%) and interview scores (30%) for category-2 and 3 candidates.
- Candidates must upload a recent photograph and accurate details as per their academic records.
- Original documents will be verified during the interview.
- Applicants must bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their supervisor/research centre at the time of the interview.
- Part-time Ph.D. admissions are permitted subject to specific guidelines and submission of NOC from the employer.
