Prayagraj Students Shine at National 'Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat' Summit

Four students from Prayagraj represented the city with distinction at the national youth summit “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat” held in Varanasi from July 18–20, 2025. The event was organized under the My Bharat initiative by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.

- Supriya – B.A.LL.B., S.S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College
- Vidhi Singh – B.A., University of Allahabad
- Ishika Narayan– B.A.LL.B., Arya Kanya Degree College
- Yakshshree - B.A.LL.B.,Arya kanya Degree College
They were nominated through Legal Chariot, a platform dedicated to legal awareness and youth leadership, and were among 500 youth leaders chosen from across 100+ organizations in India.
Key Themes of the Summit
These youth representatives actively participated in discussions on:
- Psychological and social impacts of drug addiction
- Combating drug trafficking through legal and youth action
- Community-based awareness strategies
- A 5-year action plan for a drug-free and Viksit Bharat
National-Level Recognition
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla addressed the summit. A special video message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraged youth to lead the campaign for a healthy, addiction-free India.
Major Outcomes
- Launch of the Kashi Declaration – a youth roadmap for drug de-addiction
- Kick-off of a nationwide Jan Andolan (People’s Movement)
- Active involvement of spiritual, legal, and student institutions
Prayagraj’s student delegates left a mark through their thoughtful ideas and strong representation, vowing to bring these solutions back to their local communities.
