Legal Aid Educational Fair 2025 at Birla Global University, Bhubaneswar: Registrations Open for Mock Trials, Simulations, and More

Bhubaneswar | 23 July 2025 – The Birla School of Law, under Birla Global University (BGU), Bhubaneswar, is inviting law and undergraduate students across India to participate in its upcoming “Legal Aid Educational Fair 2025.” The fair, organized under the banner of the Legal Aid Society (BSOL), promises a blend of legal intellect, public service, and creativity.

About Birla Global University

Birla Global University is a self-financed private university established under the Birla Global University Odisha Act, 2015. Spread across a 30-acre campus in Gothapatna, Bhubaneswar, BGU is governed by a Board of Governors chaired by Smt. Jayashree Mohta, with the Hon’ble Governor of Odisha serving as Chancellor. About the School of Law

Established in 2018, the Birla School of Law aims to provide high-quality legal education by combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on legal exposure. The school fosters a strong academic environment with extensive opportunities for internships, moot court competitions, legal aid, and trial advocacy.

About the Event

The Legal Aid Educational Fair features four key competitions designed to link academic knowledge with real-world advocacy:

• Mock Trial Competition
• Legal Aid Simulation Camp
• Judgment Writing
• Street Play

These competitions aim to foster a sense of legal and civic responsibility among students.

Theme

The central theme for all events is "Legal Aid and Awareness."

Eligibility Criteria

• Mock Trial, Simulation Camp & Judgment Writing: Open to students currently enrolled in a 3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated LL.B. program at a BCI-recognized institution.
• Street Play: Open to students from any undergraduate course.

Registration Fees

• Mock Trial: ₹500
• Legal Aid Simulation Camp: ₹600
• Judgment Writing: ₹250 per person
• Street Play: ₹800

Prizes

• Winners & Runners-Up: Trophy + Certificate of Excellence
• All Participants: Certificate of Appreciation

Important Dates

• Last Date for Registration: 17 August 2025
• Memorial Submission for Mock Trial: 20 August 2025
