Delhi University Releases Seat Allocation Guidelines for UG Admissions 2025 via CSAS Portal
New Delhi | July 20, 2025 — Delhi University (DU) has officially released detailed instructions for undergraduate admissions for the academic session 2025-26 under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG 2025). The university has emphasized that candidates must strictly follow the seat allocation protocol and complete necessary formalities within stipulated deadlines.
According to Chapter 6 of the CSAS-UG 2025 guidelines, candidates must log in to their dashboards immediately after seat allocation results are declared to either accept or reject the offered seat.
DU UG Admission 2025: First Seat Allotment List Released – Over 93,000 Students Allocated Courses
If a seat is provisionally allocated in any round, the candidate must click “Accept” before the deadline to confirm their interest. Failing to act within the given timeframe will be treated as non-acceptance and will automatically forfeit the candidate’s right to that seat in future rounds.
In the case of multiple allocations (including supernumerary quotas), candidates are allowed to accept only one seat and must proceed with admission accordingly. Once accepted, the respective college will verify the candidate’s eligibility and uploaded documents online via the CSAS portal.
Colleges will check:
- Minimum eligibility.
- Programme-specific eligibility.
- Subject mapping with CUET(UG)-2025 scores.
- Validity and authenticity of certificates submitted.
Approval from the college will be followed by the final step — payment of the admission fee. Candidates must pay within the stipulated deadline to confirm their admission. If the payment is not made on time, the seat will be canceled and will not be re-offered in later rounds.
In the event of rejection, the reasons could include non-fulfillment of eligibility, invalid documentation, incorrect subject mapping, or failure to respond to college queries.
Candidates are strongly advised to check their dashboard regularly and respond to queries raised by colleges without delay. The university also stressed the importance of not waiting until the last moment for fee payment to avoid technical issues or last-minute disqualifications.
