About the Internship
This internship offers law students an opportunity to gain exposure to judicial functioning and court processes under the guidance of Hon’ble Justice Augustine George Masih. The selection process is rigorous and based on merit, legal acumen, and prior experience.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be in the 4th or 5th year of a 5-year law programme, or in the final year of a 3-year LL.B. programme
- The eligibility requirement may be relaxed based on demonstrable experience, knowledge, and legal skills
- Applicants must have completed at least:
- One internship at Trial Courts
- One internship at any High Court in India
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior judicial internship experience
Selection Process
- Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for assessment of legal knowledge, demeanor, and communication skills
- Failure to respond to communication from the Chambers may result in cancellation of candidature
- Selected candidates are generally informed three to four weeks prior to joining and must confirm at least two weeks before the joining date
- In case of vacancies or cancellations, shortlisted candidates may be contacted closer to the joining date
Important Information
- Candidates must make their own arrangements for lodging, boarding, and travel
- The internship is unpaid and does not entitle the intern to any remuneration
