BCI Declares AIBE XXI Results; Overall Pass Percentage Stands at 65.92%, AIBE XXII Scheduled for November 29
The Bar Council of India (BCI) has officially declared the results of the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XXI, recording an overall pass percentage of 65.92%. Alongside the results, the Council has also announced the complete schedule for AIBE XXII, which will be conducted on November 29, 2026.
The examination was held on June 7, 2026, across 292 examination centres in 60 cities, with 1,75,701 candidates appearing for the exam.
AIBE XXI Results Announced
According to the Bar Council of India, a total of:
- 1,10,909 male candidates
- 64,784 female candidates
- 8 transgender candidates
appeared for AIBE XXI.
Out of these, 1,15,805 candidates successfully qualified, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 65.92%.
BCI Reduces Qualifying Cut-Off by 3 Marks
Initially, the qualifying marks were prescribed as:
- 45 marks for General category candidates.
- 40 marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
However, after reviewing the examination paper and result analysis, the BCI Monitoring Committee unanimously decided to reduce the qualifying marks by three marks.
The revised qualifying marks are:
- General Category: 42 marks
- SC/ST/PwD: 37 marks
Category-Wise Performance
The category-wise qualifying statistics are as follows:
- General Category: 59,709 qualified out of 87,145 candidates, including 344 Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
- Other Backward Classes (OBC): 36,210 qualified out of 58,804 candidates.
- Scheduled Castes (SC): 16,462 qualified out of 24,127 candidates.
- Scheduled Tribes (ST): 3,424 qualified out of 5,625 candidates.
Gender-Wise Results
Among the successful candidates:
- 73,045 male candidates qualified.
- 42,757 female candidates qualified.
- 3 transgender candidates qualified.
Uttar Pradesh Records Highest Participation
Among all State Bar Councils, Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest participation, with:
- 13,610 male candidates
- 3,178 female candidates
appearing for the examination.
AIBE XXII Schedule Announced
The Bar Council of India has also released the schedule for AIBE XXII, which will be conducted on November 29, 2026.

- Last Date for Registration: October 27, 2026
- Last Date for Fee Payment: October 28, 2026
- Last Date for Correction in Application Form: October 30, 2026
- Admit Card Release: November 14, 2026
