UGC NET June 2025: Last Date to Apply Online is Today, May 12 – Don’t Miss the Deadline

NTA to Close Application Window Tonight; Fee Payment Deadline Tomorrow, Correction Window Opens May 10

New Delhi, May 12, 2025:
Today is the last chance for candidates to apply for the UGC NET June 2025 exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the online application window at 11:59 PM tonight (May 12). All eligible aspirants who have not yet completed the registration process must do so immediately through the official website.

The UGC NET June 2025 registration began on April 16, and after extending the deadline, NTA has now confirmed that May 12 is the final day to apply. The deadline will not be extended further, as per the official notice.

How to Apply Online

To fill out the UGC NET June 2025 form, candidates must follow these steps:

  1. Visit: ugcnet.nta.ac.in or ugcnetjun2025.ntaonline.in
  2. Click on “New Registration” and complete the sign-up process
  3. Fill in the application form with accurate details
  4. Upload scanned photo and signature in JPEG format
  5. Pay the required application fee
  6. Submit the form and download the confirmation page

Eligibility Criteria

  • Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Candidates should not be above 30 years of age as on June 1, 2025 (relaxation of 5 years for reserved categories)
  • Assistant Professor: No upper age limit
  • Candidates must have a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/Third Gender)

Correction Window Opens on May 10

If any mistakes are found in the application after submission, candidates can use the correction window from May 10 to May 15, 2025, to rectify them. Note: Not all fields are editable.


Exam Schedule and Pattern

The UGC NET June 2025 exam will be conducted between June 21 and June 30, 2025 (tentatively). The exam is held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and consists of:

  • Paper 1: General Teaching & Research Aptitude (50 questions, 100 marks)
  • Paper 2: Subject-specific (100 questions, 200 marks)
    Both papers are mandatory and held in a single session.

Apply Now Before the Portal Closes

Candidates are strongly advised not to wait till the last moment to apply. Any delay due to server issues or payment failures may lead to incomplete submission, and such applications will not be considered.
