Prof. (Dr.) Shiv Shankar Singh awarded Rajbhasha Gaurav Award 2024 for contribution to Hindi legal literature.
Prayagraj: Renowned author and academician Prof. (Dr.) Shiv Shankar Singh, Head of the Department of Law at CMP Degree College (affiliated to the University of Allahabad), has been conferred with the prestigious “Rajbhasha Gaurav Award 2024” by the Department of Official Language, Government of India.
He received this honor for his remarkable Hindi book “Bodhhik Sampada Adhikar” (Intellectual Property Rights) under the Law Category (Second Prize). The award was presented during the Hindi Diwas Celebrations 2025 and the Fifth All India Official Language Conference organized on 14–15 September 2025 at Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
At the grand award ceremony, Union Minister of Law and Justice, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and personally conferred the award upon Prof. (Dr.) Shiv Shankar Singh. The ceremony was also attended by several distinguished dignitaries, including Rajya Sabha MP Shri Dinesh Sharma.
Currently serving as the Head of the Department of Law at CMP Degree College, Prayagraj, Prof. Singh has made outstanding contributions in promoting Hindi as a medium in legal education and research. With a strong academic legacy, he has authored 10 books (5 in Hindi and 5 in English) and published over 40 research papers on significant legal issues. His writings have played a key role in expanding the scope of legal literature in Hindi, bridging the gap between law and language.
