📌 About the Internship

The MP-IDSA Internship Programme is designed for students who have completed or are pursuing higher studies in disciplines relevant to the Institute’s work.

🕒 Duration: Minimum 6 months

🔁 Extendable: Up to 1 year based on mutual agreement and performance

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

• Must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline

• Students pursuing the final year of a Master’s degree may also apply

• Exceptional Bachelor’s degree holders may be considered for a shorter internship (up to 2 months)

• Age Limit: Not more than 30 years as on January 1

🛠️ Roles & Responsibilities

Interns will be required to:

• Assist in management of research projects

• Write summaries of events, seminars, and discussions

• Support administrative and coordination work

• Edit documents and website content

• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Institute

Required Skills:

• Highly motivated and eager to learn

• Able to work under tight and time-sensitive deadlines

• Strong written and spoken English

• Comfortable working in a multinational academic environment

• Good teamwork and communication skills

💰 Stipend: 

• First 2 months: Unpaid

• After completion of 2 months (if retained):

  ₹ 10,000 per month (for Indian nationals only)

📝 Application Procedure

Interested candidates must submit the following:

1️⃣ Curriculum Vitae (CV)

2️⃣ Two Reference Letters

3️⃣ Statement of Purpose (SOP)

  – Must mention:

  • The Centre you wish to be associated with

  • Proposed start & end dates

4️⃣ Two Writing Samples (published or unpublished)

  • Each between 3,000 – 5,000 words

5️⃣ Cover Letter

⚠️ Important Notes

• Foreign nationals must obtain a Research Visa for the internship period

• MP-IDSA will provide a Letter of Affiliation to selected foreign candidates

• Candidates should contact Indian Consulates in their country for visa details
