About the Victim Advocacy Project

The Victim Advocacy Project (VAP) is a justice-focused initiative aimed at strengthening victims’ access to the criminal justice system through structured legal representation and advocacy.

The project addresses longstanding gaps in legal assistance and victim participation in criminal proceedings by providing continuous professional support to victims—from registration of FIR to trial, appeal, and rehabilitation.

Over the next three years, the project aims to:

  • Support more than 450 victims of crime
  • Build a trained cadre of Litigation Fellows and Paralegals
