About the Job
Applications are invited for the position of Program Associate – South-South Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) under a United Nations Volunteer (UNV) assignment with UNICEF.
The selected candidate will support initiatives related to South-South and Triangular Cooperation, assisting with program coordination, partnerships, knowledge management, and international collaboration efforts. The role will contribute to strengthening cooperation between countries and promoting sustainable development initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Public Policy, International Development, Public Communications, Monitoring and Evaluation, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional work experience at national or international level in areas such as:
- International development
- Partnerships and collaboration
- Project management
- Communications or programme implementation
- Experience working with development organizations or international institutions such as the UN will be considered an advantage.
- At least 3 years of experience in advocacy, social mobilization, communication, programme planning, or public advocacy in development organisations is preferred.
- Experience in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), knowledge management, and report drafting.
- Excellent English communication and drafting skills.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate with diverse stakeholders including community members, youth organizations, religious groups, and government authorities.
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.), email, internet, and database management systems.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines with strong organizational and security awareness.
- Demonstrated interest in children’s rights, volunteerism, and the United Nations system.

The assignment will be for 12 months.
